Support the Syriac Music Institute (SMI)

The Syriac Music Institute (EIN: 27-0460405) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich musical heritage of the Syriac churches. Your donation directly supports projects like the Syriac Hymnal App, a new initiative that organizes the Syriac chant tradition with musical notation, audio, text, translation, and transliteration across multiple languages. Current and upcoming initiatives also include introducing Syriac chants to children through music books, CDs, and instructional videos, as well as collecting, rearranging, and recording all Syriac Qathuliqi hymns modeled on Syriac folk melodies.

A donation of $100, $250, or more this year, with a commitment of $100 annually, will help us achieve these critical projects. Your support will also allow us to expand the app with additional translations and introduce enhanced features like synchronized text, audio, and notation—an essential tool for unifying and preserving the Syriac chant tradition across the global Syriac community. Every contribution helps ensure the Syriac musical heritage remains accessible for future generations.
